As a Research Product Manager for the Labs teams, you will own the ideation and development of new, moonshot products, bridging pure research and ambitious product experimentation. The Labs team runs Anthropic's most ambitious experiments, focusing on 0-to-1 product development, transforming advanced research into innovative applications like Claude Code and MCP.
Responsibilities
- Work with researchers to identify nascent capabilities that could become transformative products
- Build prototypes yourself to validate ideas before committing resources
- Lead 0-to-1 product development from research to internal prototypes to shipped products
- Define product strategy for experimental initiatives
- Lead vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of frontier technologies
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a deep technical background, experience shipping technical products cross-functionally, a track record of launching ambitious products, creative thinking about risks and benefits, staying up-to-date with emerging research, and prototyping with AI tools like Claude Code. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years in product management and a founder background.
Compensation
Annual Salary: $385,000—$460,000 USD
