Anthropic is seeking a Safeguards Enforcement Analyst to build and execute enforcement workflows focused on fraud and scams. This role will own the fraud & scams enforcement program, defining policy, building detection-to-enforcement pipelines, and setting the operating model for a contractor bench.
Key responsibilities
- Define the fraud & scams policy taxonomy and case classification, prioritization, and escalation.
- Investigate and dismantle organized abuse rings, converting findings into durable controls.
- Stand up proactive fraud detection and customer-facing communication flows.
- Build dispute and chargeback strategy with payments and card-network partners.
- Quantify fraud losses and control efficacy to drive investment decisions.
- Author the contractor playbook for fraud review and own QA of scaled output.
Minimum qualifications
- Deep payment-fraud experience at a fintech, marketplace, or platform.
- Experience building or significantly scaling a fraud program from an early state.
- Working command of payment-network and dispute mechanics.
- Comfort being the sole owner of an area.
- Comfort using data (SQL or similar tools) to quantify fraud losses.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with payment service providers and card networks on fraud strategy.
- Experience with scam typologies beyond payments.
- Experience managing vendor relationships in fraud/risk detection.
- Deep interest in AI safety and responsible technology development.
- Experience writing effective prompts for generative AI systems.
Compensation
Annual Salary: $245,000—$285,000 USD
Logistics
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Location-based hybrid policy: all staff expected in office at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.
