About the role

As an Enforcement Analyst focused on Radiological & Nuclear Harms, you will enforce Anthropic's Usage Policy to detect and mitigate radiological and nuclear risks. You will read real model interactions and make fast, well-reasoned calls about whether activity is benign research or a credible attempt at harm. You will own and continuously improve enforcement monitoring workflows, and work with Policy, Threat Intelligence, Data Science, and Engineering partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Enforce Usage Policies with a focus on radiological and nuclear risks.
  • Own enforcement monitoring workflows, improving detection, investigation, triage, and escalation.
  • Monitor platform activity to identify emerging patterns related to radiological and nuclear threats.
  • Design and architect automated enforcement systems and review workflows.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and document evidence.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to optimize detection models.
  • Provide enforcement-grounded feedback on policy gaps.

Minimum qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in physics or nuclear-related field and/or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or policy enforcement at platform scale.
  • Experience using AI tools to develop data dashboards for metrics collection.
  • Ability to analyze complex, ambiguous situations and make decisions under time pressure.
  • Proactive and self-directed.
  • Emotional resilience when working with disturbing content.
  • Clear written communication.

Preferred qualifications

  • Subject matter expertise in radiological and nuclear defense, security, WMD/CBRNE non-proliferation, or threat-intelligence.
  • Understanding of real-world radiological and nuclear risk.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with IAEA safeguards, NPT, special-nuclear-material security, NNSA guidelines, and proliferation-pathway analysis.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $245,000—$285,000 USD
