Senior Cloud Security Engineer - K8s

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to secure Datadog's cloud infrastructure. As part of the Platform Security organization, you will build solutions to solve systemic risks and enable safe usage of AI. This role focuses on Service Mesh and Kubernetes security.

• Solve complex cloud infrastructure security problems, starting with core building blocks and golden paths.
• Enable engineers to build and ship secure solutions quickly.
• Build and extend Datadog's Platform Security solutions.
• Leverage and influence Datadog's products to secure infrastructure.

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Passionate about implementing solutions to complex problems at scale in a multi-cloud environment.
• Prior experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or Cloud Security.
• Experience developing, deploying, and extending service mesh systems in production Kubernetes environments.
• Software engineering background with hands-on code review experience; Go, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with Kubernetes PKI & network technologies (Consul, Envoy, Cilium, Vault, Istio, etc.).
• Experience with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
