About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Community Manager to join our dbt community team, leading digital engagement with a primary focus on managing and growing the dbt Slack community. You'll cultivate a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners to connect, learn, and collaborate.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community
  • Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programming
  • Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows, including Code of Conduct enforcement
  • Coach and support moderators and community champions; recruit and onboard new moderators
  • Create content systems to keep members informed and activated
  • Surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support
  • Monitor and report on key engagement and health metrics, and run experiments to improve them
  • Manage the community tool stack for digital engagement
  • Plan for and manage incident response in collaboration with Legal/People/Security
  • Support cross-channel digital engagement efforts beyond Slack

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital community management in a global or distributed environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning day-to-day operations for a large online community
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics
  • Experience building and improving moderation and support workflows
  • Excellent written communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience using community tooling and analytics
  • Data-informed decision making, including defining KPIs
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Cultural fluency and sensitivity
  • High emotional intelligence and comfort navigating complex situations

Compensation

Pay Range: $130,068—$162,585.50 USD
