About the job
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting to lead our corporate accounting function and help shape the next generation of our Finance organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the day-to-day General Ledger (GL) accounting function while also serving as a key transformation leader across Accounting and Finance. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting expertise with a builder's mindset. You will ensure an accurate, timely, and well-controlled close while rethinking how accounting work gets done—simplifying processes, improving systems and data, expanding automation, and driving practical adoption of AI across the accounting organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead corporate accounting operations, including the General Ledger, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and related activities.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring financial results are accurate, well-supported, controlled, and delivered on time.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and build processes that scale with the growth and complexity of the business.
- Partner closely with Technical Accounting, Revenue, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, IT, and other teams on accounting and business matters.
- Support external audits and financial reporting requirements.
- Serve as a transformation leader for Accounting, developing and executing a roadmap for a more automated, scalable, and data-driven organization.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving accounting systems, financial data, integrations, workflow automation, and process redesign.
- Champion the responsible adoption of AI across Accounting, identifying and implementing high-value use cases that improve productivity, quality, and employee experience.
- Build AI capabilities across the team through training, experimentation, and best-practice sharing while establishing appropriate governance and human oversight.
- Establish metrics to measure improvements in close performance, automation, productivity, and quality.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team capable of operating effectively in a fast-growing SaaS/Data environment.
- Develop future leaders by increasing ownership and building stronger accounting, technology, and business capabilities across the team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement where the team challenges existing processes and embraces technology, automation, and new ways of working.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of corporate or GL accounting functions within a public company or similarly complex environment.
- 4+ years of people leadership experience; experience managing managers preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial close processes, internal controls, and accounting operations.
- Experience within a SaaS, software, technology, or data business strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading meaningful Accounting or Finance transformation initiatives.
- Strong systems orientation with experience improving ERP, close management, reconciliation, workflow, or other Finance technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of AI and automation and an ability to translate emerging capabilities into practical accounting applications.
- Excellent project management, change leadership, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution and influence stakeholders across Finance and the broader organization.
