Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & Reporting

The Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & Reporting is a critical leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of external financial reporting, including the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all SEC reports. This role serves as one of the technical accounting resources for SEC-related transactions, ensuring all external disclosures are fully compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

• Lead technical research on new and complex U.S. GAAP (FASB) accounting standards, ensuring timely adoption and accurate documentation.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for complex or non-routine transactions (e.g., M&A, debt/equity offerings), including SEC reporting implications.
• Manage the full lifecycle of accounting policies, ensuring documentation is clear, current, and consistently applied.
• Manage and execute the timely and accurate preparation and filing of external financial reports with the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements.
• Ensure the effective design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404) for the external reporting process.
• Support internal and external audits on technical accounting matters and financial statement reviews.
• Assist with preparing materials for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors on significant accounting policy matters.
• Lead accounting policy and reporting projects, reviewing analyses and mentoring a high-performing team.
• Drive process improvements and maintain strong collaboration with various departments.

• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 Audit and direct SEC reporting and technical accounting research experience at a publicly traded company.
• Active CPA, CA, or equivalent required.
• Deep, current, and comprehensive expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, Reg S-X/S-K).
• Technical accounting experience in loan accounting, securitization, transfers & servicing, consolidation, or revenue recognition.
• Experience with financial reporting systems (e.g., Workiva) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex accounting concepts and write high-quality technical memos.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage tight reporting deadlines.

USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $185,000 - $245,000. USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $164,000 - $224,000. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits.
