Datadog is the leading observability and security platform for the AI era, providing unified visibility across the technology stack. We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support payroll for the Americas (Canada, Mexico, and Brazil) either directly through Workday and ADP or via a PEO.
Responsibilities
- Manage preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring data accuracy and deadlines.
- Handle government reporting for payroll taxes, withholdings, and employer contributions.
- Manage regional payroll partners and PEO, defining KPIs and standards.
- Liaise with APAC and EMEA payroll counterparts for global consistency.
- Partner with Benefits, HRIS, and Finance teams on payroll-related projects.
- Process equity transactions including RSUs, NSOs, ISOs, and ESPP.
- Improve internal controls to satisfy SOX auditing requirements, leveraging Workday and AI technology.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience processing payroll in the Americas region, with experience in Mexico, Brazil, or Canada required.
- Familiarity with payroll systems; ADP and Workday preferred, at least one essential.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to payroll (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act or FLSA).
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to leverage AI when necessary.
Compensation
The reasonably estimated yearly salary for this role is $110,000—$147,000 USD, plus equity and variable compensation.
