Senior Product Manager, AI

Instacart is transforming the grocery industry by providing grocery delivery and household goods, offering flexible earnings to shoppers. The AI team builds B2B agentic AI products to help retailers and CPGs recover margin by tackling out-of-stock, shrink, waste, and fulfillment utilization.

As a Senior Product Manager, AI, you will own the vision, roadmap, and go-to-market for new agentic AI capabilities from 0 to 1. You'll work backwards from customer outcomes, partner with engineering and data science, and collaborate with sales and marketing.

• Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for agentic AI solutions.
• Write problem statements, PRDs, and success metrics; prioritize to deliver v0, iterate to v1, and scale.
• Partner with engineering and data science to scope experiments, manage backlogs, define KPIs and evaluation frameworks.
• Lead customer discovery, design pilots, and collaborate on go-to-market, pricing, enablement, and case studies.
• Own business case: model unit economics and ROI, set financial targets, report to executives.
• Ensure data readiness and integrity; implement human-in-the-loop and policy guardrails.
• Operate cross-functionally with data engineering, retailer success, enterprise sales, and BD.

• 6+ years of product management in B2B/enterprise software, including 3+ years delivering AI/ML products.
• Proven record shipping at least 2 AI/ML products with measurable financial outcomes.
• Hands-on data proficiency (SQL or equivalent).
• Experience leading cross-functional execution.
• Ability to build ROI and unit economics models.
• Experience with enterprise sales cycles.
• Bachelor's degree in technical/quantitative/business field or equivalent.
• Preferred: grocery/retail/supply chain experience, agentic AI/LLM workflows, demand forecasting, retail tech stack.

Base pay ranges by location: CA, NY, CT, NJ: $221,000–$233,000; WA: $212,000–$223,500; OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $203,000–$214,000; All other states: $184,000–$194,000 USD.

Eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
