Instacart is a grocery delivery platform that connects customers with personal shoppers, aiming to provide access to food and household goods. The company is transforming the grocery industry with technology.

Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution for the In-Store Tasks product. This role sits at the intersection of shopper experience, retailer and CPG enablement, and plays a key role in improving fulfillment reliability. You will define and deliver the roadmap for shoppers doing in-store tasks, building in-store intelligence to track inventory, item location, and fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Define shopper flows using cutting-edge CV technologies to build foundations for in-store inventory intelligence.
  • Develop new capabilities and improve existing products for high-quality, high-efficiency data collection scalable to thousands of stores.
  • Own data collection experiences, from how shoppers receive and action tasks to efficiently collect data for inventory and store maps.
  • Build deep understanding of shopper workflows and operational pain points to design tools that improve scanning accuracy, speed, and shopper satisfaction.
  • Work closely with retail partners to ensure tooling integrates naturally into in-store environments.
  • Partner with enterprise sales and retailer success teams to support onboarding and drive adoption.
  • Define platform solutions that scale across retailer sizes and store formats.
  • Represent the in-store task roadmap with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally within operationally complex physical environments.
  • Built products end-to-end, from early concept through scaled delivery.
  • Highly data-literate, comfortable navigating ambiguity with analytical rigor.
  • Communicate complex ideas with clarity and influence, aligning cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Understand shopper and retailer experience deeply, accountable to customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable moving fast in evolving environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range for Canadian candidates: CAN$194,000—$204,500 CAD. Eligible for new hire equity grant and annual refresh grants. Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits.
