Senior Sales Engineer - Majors (West)

As a Senior Enterprise Sales Engineer, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to both customers and Sales, leading complex technical evaluations and shaping deal strategy in high-impact opportunities.

• Own the sales process in partnership with Account Executives, leading technical strategy from PG to Closed Won.
• Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges and translate needs into tailored Datadog solutions.
• Deliver engaging product demos, technical presentations, and solution workshops for diverse audiences.
• Own technical evaluations (POVs) end-to-end, scoping use cases, defining success criteria, and building project plans.
• Identify and develop technical champions across multi-stakeholder environments.
• Contribute to product direction through field feedback sessions.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring accurate documentation.
• Resolve technical and organizational blockers by collaborating across teams.
• Mentor peers and create reusable assets.

• 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
• Skilled at influencing and adapting communication across technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Advanced background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, observability.
• Strong communication skills.
• Consultative, outcome-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities.
• Experience mentoring peers.
• Demonstrated capability of utilizing AI tooling.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
