About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies to deliver the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop world-class enterprise capabilities and features for our largest customers, focusing on performance engineering, data security, and cluster orchestration.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement features and performance improvements for highly scalable distributed data pipelines on the cloud.
- Develop, maintain, and test code; conduct design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with peers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in on-call rotation and mentor junior developers.
Skills We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (preferred).
- 5+ years of software industry experience.
- Experience with distributed systems and designing reusable libraries.
- Proficiency in object-oriented/systems languages (Java, C++, C#).
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI tools like BuildKite; observability tools (New Relic/Grafana) and AI tools are a plus.
Compensation
Oakland Pay Range: $174,915—$209,906.50 USD
