Role: As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, you will help develop new products from concept to launch, building customer-facing products that drive direct business impact. You'll collaborate with engineers across the company, work with user-facing teams like Sales and Support, and own problems end-to-end from user experience and data models to scalability and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers across the company to build new features and products end-to-end.
  • Work alongside user-facing teams like Sales and Support to understand customer needs.
  • Design and implement solutions to improve customers' banking experiences.
  • Own problems end-to-end, from user experience and data models to scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.
  • Tune and polish features to a high degree of excellence.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications.
  • Experience building and designing scalable backend systems.
  • Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working with backend programming languages (Java, Kotlin, Python).
  • Familiarity with software engineering development cycles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation: The expected salary range is $192,000-$240,000 CAD. Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided.
