Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Repayment UX)

The Repayment UX Engineering team is a full-stack team located entirely in Europe, culturally rooted in Silicon Valley, and focused on building reliable and transparent user journeys for loan repayment.

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics in the product development lifecycle.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, and participating in on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.
• Develop talent on the team by providing feedback and guidance.

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile applications, preferably with declarative UI frameworks like React Native.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages.
• Experience defining technical plans for significant features with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
• Ability to make significant changes in a large codebase safely.
• Strong ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback seeking.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration.

Base pay range: €86,000 - €122,000 per year. Total compensation may include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents. Remote Spain. Affirm is remote-first; most roles can be done from anywhere in Spain. Some positions may occasionally require in-person work.
