Senior Software Engineer, Mobile (Repayment UX)

Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in React Native development to join the Repayment UX Engineering team. This full-stack team is located entirely in Europe within the same time zone and is culturally rooted in Silicon Valley. The team builds and owns user journeys that enable over 20 million people to pay back loans worth collectively over $40B each year. The work is agile and fast-paced, shipping new code to production every two-week sprint and rigorously measuring the impact on user behavior.

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics in the product development lifecycle, articulating technical constraints and partnering on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues, advocate for them, and lead in solving them.
• Support the operations and availability of your team's artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards, and advocating for them through writing and tech talks.
• Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance, and leading by example.

• 4+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile applications, preferably using declarative UI frameworks like React Native.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages with a track record of learning new technologies.
• Experience defining a technical plan for delivering a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple, and extensible design.
• Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base, with a suite of tools and practices for doing so safely.
• Demonstrated ownership of growth, proactively seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.

Base pay grade N: 308,000 zł - 428,000 zł. All employees in this role are eligible to receive equity from the parent company each year.
