Senior Technical Program Manager, Payments

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Payments team. In this role, you will partner with the Payments organization to deliver technology offerings that enable money movement across Airbnb's global marketplace, spanning billions of dollars, 191 countries, and 75 currencies. You will work across Payments Platform, Compliance & Operations, Payments Engineering Services, and Payments Data Engineering to manage complex programs, drive technical design diligence, and ensure predictable execution.

• Define program scope and objectives, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive projects end-to-end.
• Align staffing, priorities, and technical dependencies across cross-functional teams.
• Manage technical design reviews, track dependencies, and escalate risks.
• Communicate status, decisions, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and simplification across the organization.
• Provide visibility into key performance indicators and manage risks.

• 7+ years of experience in the software development industry.
• Proven ability to work through ambiguity and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong technical understanding and experience with distributed architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Base pay range: $179,000—$210,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
