Join the Comms Engineering team as a Software Engineer (L2) - Messaging API. This role is needed to help build and maintain the communications platform used by thousands of customers worldwide. You will design, develop, deploy, and operate software solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software
- Work with a small collaborative team, whiteboarding ideas, building backend services and APIs
- Perform thorough code reviews
- Support production operations, building, releasing, and assisting with on-call
- Craft clear and concise documentation
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; experience with Go or Java; strong communication skills; ability to participate in on-call rotation. Desired: Experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB; cloud platforms like AWS, including containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); polyglot developer; experience with Temporal.
Compensation
Estimated pay ranges: Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C.: $116,960 - $146,200; Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside SF Bay): $123,760 - $154,700; Based in SF Bay Area: $137,520 - $171,900. Eligible for equity plan and corporate bonus plan.
