Solutions Architect

Databricks is hiring a Solutions Architect to join its Field Engineering team, based in the Milan region (candidates in Rome may be considered for coverage of the Rome customer area). The role operates on a hybrid basis, requiring attendance at relevant office locations and customer meetings, with up to 30% travel. Business proficiency in both Italian and English is required.

• Build successful relationships with clients in Italy, providing technical and business value in collaboration with Account Executives.
• Operate as a big data analytics expert, developing into a trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation to drive adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Author reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications; lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups to build the Databricks community in the region.
• Grow knowledge and expertise to the level of a technical and/or industry specialist.

• Engage customers in technical sales, guide clear outcomes, and communicate technical and value propositions.
• Prior experience coding in a core programming language (Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn Spark.
• Proficiency with Big Data Analytics technologies, including hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
• Experience in use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to multiple audiences.

Italy pay range is €92,300—€126,950 EUR. Total compensation may include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
