Role Summary
Elastic is seeking a senior marketing executive to lead Global Public Sector go-to-market strategy. This role owns U.S. Public Sector marketing while setting global strategy, reporting to the VP of Global Growth and Experiential Marketing. Full ownership of the global organization is the long-term trajectory.
Responsibilities
- Set and influence global public sector marketing strategy, including frameworks, playbooks, and investment priorities.
- Own U.S. Public Sector marketing end-to-end, driving pipeline, brand awareness, partner marketing, and executive programs.
- Collaborate with government affairs, sales, product marketing, engineering, and executive leadership.
- Lead integrated multichannel demand generation programs (ABM, field events, ElasticON, trade shows, webinars, executive engagement).
- Develop public sector-specific content and sales enablement assets.
- Build thought leadership through PR, speaking engagements, influencer relationships, and social media.
- Develop global partner marketing strategy.
- Establish metrics, reporting, and optimization frameworks.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive public sector technology marketing experience.
- Builder's mindset with executive-level strategic instincts.
- Deep fluency in U.S. Public Sector landscape; international exposure a plus.
- Proven ability to set strategy and influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
- Expertise across demand generation, ABM, field marketing, partner marketing, content, and executive programs.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence.
- Analytical rigor to evaluate complex environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
Compensation
Base salary only, no variable component. Typical starting salary range: $200,400—$316,900 USD. In select locations (Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City Metro Area): $240,300—$380,200 USD. Eligible for Elastic's stock program.
