About the role
Samsara is hiring a Sr Manager, Finance and Strategy to partner with the global Marketing department, working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership across the go-to-market organization. The role involves maintaining financial forecasts, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform capital allocation decisions, and driving initiatives to scale the business.
Responsibilities
- Deliver business partnership to the CMO and other executives to inform strategic decisions and maintain financial operating plans.
- Perform data-driven analysis to identify and execute value creation initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering operations teams to plan and execute cross-functional initiatives.
- Build scalable processes and systems, utilizing AI tools to enhance financial visibility and planning effectiveness.
- Identify and track key metrics to guide operational impact.
- Analyze financial results, prepare management reporting, and lead monthly operating reviews.
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of finance & strategy, strategic finance, or FP&A experience, preferably partnering with go-to-market organizations at a high-growth technology company.
- Experience in investment banking or big 4 accounting is a plus.
- Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, and ownership of complex problems.
- Experience managing a team.
- Ability to influence executive decision-making and articulate presentations.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Expertise with AI, systems, and automated reporting tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Databricks, Open AI, Salesforce, Adaptive, Tableau, NetSuite, Workday).
Compensation
Annual base salary range: $118,720—$212,000 USD. Eligible for initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff and ongoing refresh opportunities.
