Senior Software Engineer

Databricks is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with large-scale distributed system experience to join the Networking Infrastructure team. You will design and automate the networking foundations for large-scale compute clusters across all major cloud providers, connecting millions of VMs running on Databricks. You will lead the design and development of secure and scalable connectivity that powers all data/AI workloads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering teams, to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient networking systems.

• 5+ years of production-level experience in one of: Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language
• 4+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch
• Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures
• Extensive experience working on large-scale compute clusters, network connectivity, and automation

The pay range for this role is $166,000—$225,000 USD. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
