Peloton is seeking a Senior User Researcher with a strong foundation in hardware research to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of our Bike, Tread, and Row products, as well as the development of future Peloton products and experiences. This role will work directly with Product Managers, Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Field Testing Program Managers, Data Scientists, and Product Designers, and will report to the Director, User Research.
Responsibilities
- Evolve processes for organizing user research and testing across multiple product teams, ensuring prioritization and managing research roadmaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hardware user research goals and scope, plan, and execute research.
- Conduct user research for hardware and software, including design mockups, prototypes, beta versions, and finished products.
- Compile and present findings to stakeholders to enable strategic product decisions.
- Evolve Peloton's user experience research infrastructure for in-office, virtual, and in-field testing.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using interviews, ethnography, and surveys.
- Document and track findings for future reference.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of user research and testing experience, including hardware and software product teams.
- Experience with physical product development, human factors, or hardware.
- Experience analyzing research findings and reporting insights.
- Experience developing processes for organizing work across teams.
- Experience with remote and in-person research methodologies.
- Comfortable incorporating AI tools into research workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- Bonus: Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or related field; experience with software research; experience with quantitative surveys.
Compensation: Base salary range $173,478—$213,957 USD, plus annual equity awards, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, and more.
