The Brand Ad Formats team drives ad formats for brand impact, building customizable interactive formats and AI-driven ads incorporating UGC, with a focus on Video Ads. As a Staff Android Engineer, you will lead technical strategy for Video Ads, provide technical guidance on new ad formats, and drive the full development lifecycle from discovery to deployment. You will mentor senior engineers and establish Android best practices. Requirements: 8+ years of software engineering experience (Staff level), 3+ years deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android architectural patterns, 4+ Android projects from ideation to production, experience in Ad Tech and rich-media mobile experiences, product mindset, system design for fault-tolerant client-side systems, experience leveraging GenAI tools, fluency with product metrics and experimentation tools like BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, and openness to work across the stack. Bonus: experience with Video Ads, scaled peer company, Jetpack Compose. Compensation: $217,000—$303,900 USD base salary, plus equity in the form of restricted stock units.
