About the Role
The Code Gen team builds AI-powered code transformation tools that modernize legacy applications into microservices-based architectures on MongoDB. We are seeking a Staff Engineer with domain expertise in modernizing legacy applications and experience leveraging AI, particularly LLMs and GenAI, for reliable automation of code transformation, build, and test processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Code Gen team in designing, building, and optimizing code transformation workflow and tools.
- Drive architectural vision and technical strategy for code gen tools, leveraging GenAI to build reliable and scalable building blocks.
- Partner with product managers, AI researchers, and engineers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Define and champion engineering best practices, patterns, and standards across teams.
- Collaborate with security and product teams to ensure secure execution of code generation and LLM-based tasks.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development and operations.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with code analysis, refactoring, and automated testing tools.
- Practical knowledge of integrating GenAI into large-scale systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience leading design and development of complex workflows for AI model integration.
Compensation
Base salary range for this role in Canada: $159,000—$221,000 CAD.
