About Grafana Labs
Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, a fully managed observability platform trusted by more than 10,000 organizations. Built on open source and open standards, Grafana Cloud brings AI to observability and observability to AI. Customers include Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce. The company is 100% remote with team members across 40+ countries.
About the Role
As the Staff Product Manager for Enterprise Deployment Solutions, you will own Grafana Labs offerings that run outside the standard multi-tenant SaaS, including Grafana Federal Cloud (for FedRAMP-authorized observability) and Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC). Your mission is to make Grafana Labs the obvious choice for organizations that can't use standard SaaS due to compliance, data, or cost-at-scale constraints. You will adapt existing Grafana Cloud capabilities to these environments, decide which features come in, wait, or stay out, and help shape which deployment models to offer next. You will use AI tools daily to speed up research, analyze product signals, and develop positioning.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana Bring Your Own Cloud and Grafana Federal Cloud products, using product data and market research to balance customer value against engineering cost and technical constraints.
- Own positioning, messaging, and differentiation for these products, including how they compare to regular Grafana Cloud, and partner with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on buildouts for these environments, balancing customer timelines with engineering capacity.
- Work directly with customers, prospects, and the field on strategic deals and brief partners, resellers, and analysts on deployment options.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal to work through product changes affecting authorization or existing customer commitments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience on a technical B2B product, or a technical background (software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management) plus a demonstrated move into product ownership.
- Hands-on experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud, and a firsthand understanding of how it changes the product, its operations, and its economics.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
- Clear product and go-to-market judgment: you've shaped what a product should be and how it's positioned and sold, not only when it ships.
- Interest in working with US public sector customers and learning their needs and buying cycles. Deep compliance expertise isn't required.
- Experience leading across multiple teams without direct authority, with excellent written and verbal communication in a remote, globally distributed organization.
Bonus Points
- Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with government or sovereign cloud frameworks, such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, or SecNumCloud, or with offerings such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.
- Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, or other data-intensive infrastructure products.
- Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
- Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source companies.
