The growth team is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to drive user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization through data-driven strategies and technical implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical solutions supporting user acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue growth
- Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to optimize user onboarding, feature adoption, subscription conversion, and overall product experience
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and translate them into technical requirements
Qualifications
- Experience working on user growth (acquisition, activation, retention, monetization) or in a revenue-focused organization like ads
- Full-stack development experience (web/React and backend), plus data analysis and experimentation frameworks
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving; passion for the potential of AI to reach a wide audience; thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Preferred: 5+ years as a software engineer, ideas for growth/monetization experiments, ability to dive into data, and a vision for AI product growth
Compensation
Annual salary: $320,000—$405,000 USD.

Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Location-based hybrid policy: all staff expected in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is offered.
