Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer focused on Cloudflare's Email Service, you will shape the future of industry-leading services that redefine what is possible for developers. You will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. On any given day, you might implement innovative solutions for deliverability, optimize time-to-inbox, or design an API for a new product feature. This role may require flexibility to be on-call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed.

• Experience with transactional email infrastructure at scale
• Strong knowledge of email deliverability / anti-spam standards (e.g. SPF, DKIM, DMARC, VERP)
• Knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language: we primarily use Rust, TypeScript, and Go.
• Experience with Cloudflare Developer Platform
• Proven ability to drive projects independently, from concept to implementation.
• Bonus: Deep Linux / UNIX systems knowledge, technical writing skills, experience building and scaling large-scale applications.

For Portugal based hires: Estimated annual salary of €54,000 - €75,000. The final offer will be inclusive of time exemption, in alignment with the applicable law and collective bargaining agreements. This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
