Technical Deployment Lead

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. As a Technical Deployment Lead on the Claude Agentic Solutions team, you will lead the delivery of custom AI agent solutions for enterprise customers in highly regulated industries, owning high-value engagements from SOW through production deployment. This is a founding team role: you will help build technical playbooks and define the processes and repeatable patterns needed to scale this emerging motion.

You'll work alongside Forward Deployed Engineers who build the technical solution, while you own product scoping, stakeholder management, value measurement, and the organizational complexity of deploying AI agents in enterprise environments. You need to be technical enough to hold architecture conversations with engineering stakeholders and polished enough to run executive briefings with C-suite sponsors.

• Own the technical delivery plan for each engagement; structure SOWs with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and value hypotheses.
• Lead technical discovery, mapping customer workflows, identifying constraints, defining MVP scope, and shaping solution architecture for custom agent deployments.
• Run day-to-day engineering execution across Anthropic and customer teams, making real-time trade-offs on scope and priority to protect the critical path.
• Own product scoping for field engagements, authoring requirements documentation and prioritizing the engineering backlog.
• Own the customer relationship throughout delivery, leading executive briefings and managing stakeholder communications across technical leads and procurement.
• Own value measurement and ROI, defining impact hypotheses, baselines, and KPIs, and reporting outcomes to executive sponsors.
• Codify reusable delivery assets, building solution patterns, evaluation frameworks, and technical playbooks, and feed field signals back to Product and Research.
• Navigate enterprise and regulatory complexity, including security reviews, legal approvals, procurement, and compliance requirements.
• Manage scope and change, negotiating contract modifications and identifying risks early.
• Run delivery operations, including sprint ceremonies, milestone reviews, and progress reporting.
• Travel to customer sites to build relationships and accelerate adoption (25–50% expected).

• Led AI/ML engagements/deployments as a founder, data scientist, engineer, researcher, or in a professional services or consulting role.
• Delivered AI, ML, or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, understanding solution patterns, integration approaches, and what breaks in real environments.
• Experience in a specialized vertical (financial services, life sciences, pharmaceutical, retail, mining, agriculture, etc.).
• Can lead architecture discussions with engineering stakeholders, evaluate technical trade-offs, and pressure-test technical decisions.
• Track record delivering complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients in regulated industries.
• Executive presence — polished, credible, and comfortable representing Anthropic to senior leaders.
• Thrives in ambiguity, brings structure where none exists, and has a builder's mindset.

Annual Salary: $275,000—$380,000 USD. Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Location-based hybrid policy: all staff are expected to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available.
