NerdWallet is on a mission to bring clarity to all of life's financial decisions. This is a part-time contract role (20 hours/week) for an experienced podcast and YouTube producer to help ship award-winning shows. The role is remote based in the U.S. and reports to the Staff Brand Manager.
Responsibilities
- Own per-episode execution and longform YouTube packaging for the podcast portfolio (Smart Money and Smart Travel).
- Write show notes and YouTube descriptions, create thumbnail briefs, and coordinate with a thumbnail designer.
- Report on performance across platforms (Megaphone, YouTube Studio, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Veritonic) and deliver executive summaries.
- Apply packaging and SEO frameworks, manage keyword tracking in Ausha, and validate YouTube titles, descriptions, and tags with vidIQ.
- Support the launch and ongoing packaging of a Smart Travel YouTube channel.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on podcast and/or YouTube production experience, including writing show notes, episode descriptions, and platform metadata.
- Experience with podcast hosting and analytics platforms (Megaphone, Apple Podcasts, Spotify for Creators, Veritonic) and YouTube Studio.
- Experience with SEO and keyword tools (Ausha, vidIQ) or comparable platforms.
- Strong writing, deadline-driven, analytical, and AI-fluent (e.g., Claude).
Compensation
$65–$75 per hour (USD), W2 contract role, 20 hours per week from August 2026–August 2027.
