- Manage operational resources (equipment, technology, consumables, staffing) to ensure maximum uptime and readiness.
- Serve as primary operational head for the AV depot, driving daily performance, hands-on problem-solving, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor KPIs (vehicle uptime, turnaround time, maintenance efficiency, cost per vehicle) and address bottlenecks.
- Execute SOPs, SLAs, and safety protocols; identify and roll out improvements.
- Maintain strong floor presence, supporting the team during peak periods or complex troubleshooting.
- Manage AV operators and technicians, including scheduling, performance management, training, and fostering a safety-first culture.
- Work with AV technology partners on the ground and oversee external vendors for equipment, services, and facility needs.
- Enforce operations guidelines to comply with local, state, and federal regulations for AVs, commercial fleet management, and workplace safety.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in site management, general management, or operational leadership, with strong understanding of complex fleet management, logistics, or AV operations.
- Proven track record managing established operational sites, executing playbooks, driving daily efficiency, and managing physical infrastructure.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7 depot.
- Exceptional people management skills, including shift scheduling, performance management, and building safety culture.
- Highly analytical and practical mindset, interpreting daily performance data for improvements.
- Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced environments with excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.
