About the Team
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) team engages independent retailers and sets meetings to help them explore opportunities on the Instacart Marketplace, working with grocery, alcohol, and other retail businesses.
About the Job
This role identifies, contacts, and qualifies independent retailers as potential partners for Instacart and closes small business opportunities. Responsibilities include managing leads through the pipeline, setting meetings, following up with prospects, using cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, managing the end-to-end sales cycle for small opportunities, and developing sales collateral, case studies, and custom stories to convey Instacart's value proposition.
About You
Minimum qualifications include previous sales or business development experience, strong written and verbal communication, a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs, excellent organizational and project management skills, and adaptability. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the grocery industry, experience selling SaaS solutions, and familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range for Canadian candidates is CAN$30.77—$32.45 CAD. The role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants.
Location
This role is remote and currently hires only in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
