Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy - R&D

Samsara is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy to partner with our Research & Development (R&D) organization. This role is remote and open to candidates based in Canada.

• Serve as finance lead for R&D, partnering with C-level leaders on budget trade-offs, headcount decisions, and infrastructure investment.
• Own FP&A for R&D and Supply Chain Operations, including monthly BvA reviews, quarterly reforecasts, and annual operating plan.
• Own forecasting and controllership across cost drivers: COGS, Gross Margin, hardware costs, employee expenses, total compensation economics, and AI infrastructure spend.
• Build scalable financial processes and use AI tools to automate reporting and deliver real-time visibility.
• Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team.

• 7+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• 2+ years of people management and development experience.
• Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Annual base salary range: $118,800—$163,350 CAD. Eligible for initial RSU grant and ongoing refresh opportunities.
