Senior Customer Engineer, Majors - NYC

As a Customer Engineer at Cloudflare, you will be a trusted advisor owning the technical relationship from discovery through adoption and expansion. You will operate as a quota-carrying technologist, using AI-augmented workflows to focus on high-value architectural design and business outcomes.

• Identify and map customer initiatives to Cloudflare solutions.
• Build relationships and technical champions within accounts.
• Develop and present to all levels of enterprise customers.
• Lead demos and proof-of-concept activities.
• Create professional content (white papers, blog posts).
• Represent Cloudflare at external events.
• Apply vertical knowledge and advise on best practices.
• Partner with Account Executives for technical discovery and bespoke architectures.
• Lead technical onboarding and implementation, monitor health scores and telemetry.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business and account growth.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for C-level executives.
• Act as an AI-Augmented engineer, using AI agents to automate routine tasks.

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, etc.).
• Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial mindset with quota-carrying experience and understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Preferred: Experience with Cloudflare's developer platform (Workers AI, AI Gateway, Vectorize).
• Preferred: Knowledge of prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or RAG architectures.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Estimated annual salary for NYC: $234,000 - $292,000 (includes on-target incentive compensation). Eligible for Cloudflare's equity plan.
