Senior Systems Designer, EPD

As a Senior Systems Designer on the EPD Systems team, you will own the operating system for Vanta's engineering, product, and design organization. You will design and own workflow and hierarchy in Jira, build agents and automation, and drive adoption across teams. This is not a traditional PMO or status-reporting role; you build the systems and practices that make teams want to use them.

• Design and own workflow and hierarchy across engineering, product, and design in Jira
• Ensure Jira reflects real practice and vice versa
• Build agents and automation that run the system, using AI as part of your work
• Drive adoption by working with teams to align practice with the substrate
• Understand delivery breakdowns at the mechanism level and build root-cause fixes
• Build alongside teammates, raising their ceiling

• You build and ship recently, with AI as part of how you work
• You find the mechanism that's actually failing before reaching for a tool
• You move toward a solution now, without waiting for a green light
• You learn what's new before anyone tells you to, especially in AI tooling
• You get things adopted without authority
• You're accountable for the outcome, not just the artifact
• No CS degree or formal engineering tenure required; real, recent, shipped work is what clears the bar

Cash range: $176K – $207K. Offers equity. Eligible for medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
