About the Role
Databricks is seeking a passionate, strategic, and customer-obsessed Product Manager to drive innovation, shape the roadmap, and lead the Lakebase/Lakehouse product areas into their next phase of growth. The role offers ever-expanding scope and the choice to continue on the IC ladder or transfer to the management ladder.
Responsibilities
- Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Databricks SQL.
- Work closely with engineering, design, sales, and marketing to launch new features and drive adoption.
- Engage directly with customers and partners to understand their needs and prioritize high-impact solutions.
- Drive competitive differentiation and positioning in the cloud data warehouse market.
- Collaborate with leadership to align product initiatives with business goals.
- Use data-driven insights to measure success, iterate, and improve user experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience (preferably in cloud, analytics, or data platforms).
- Ability to break down complex problems into simple, scalable solutions.
- Strong sense of ownership—thrives in ambiguity and loves solving hard problems.
- Experience working with engineers and designers to ship high-impact products.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills.
- Nice to have: understanding of Databases, SQL, data warehousing, BI, and analytics use cases.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: Zone 1: $156,600—$215,250 USD; Zone 2: $148,800—$204,525 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Databricks offers comprehensive benefits and perks; details vary by region.
