About Affirm

Affirm is a financial technology company that provides transparent, pay-over-time solutions with no hidden fees or surprises. The Product team translates customer insights into a clear product vision, working with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products.

Role

As a Staff Product Manager on Affirm’s Credit & Pricing team, you will shape how consumers discover, understand, and use available credit. You will own the strategy for credit experiences spanning shopping, repayment, and marketing, turning complex credit capabilities into intuitive products that build trust and drive activation, conversion, and repeat engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Define a cohesive vision for consumer credit experiences and translate strategy into priorities across multiple teams.
  • Help consumers explore financing options before checkout, discover purchasing power, and understand when credit becomes available again after repayment.
  • Develop personalized experiences for new and returning consumers using research and experimentation.
  • Own merchant prequalification and purchasing power experiences, partnering with core purchasing power and credit decisioning teams.
  • Lead cross-functional decisions with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Credit, Marketing, Commercial, and Legal partners.
  • Define success, lead discovery and experimentation, and use funnel analysis and consumer feedback to improve activation, purchase conversion, repeat engagement, and comprehension.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with success taking products from discovery through launch and scaling adoption in fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or similar environments.
  • Experience independently setting direction for a substantial product area and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong consumer product judgment and ability to translate complex systems into intuitive experiences.
  • Strategic and technical depth, working effectively with engineers on capabilities that serve multiple experiences.
  • Analytical and experimental rigor, combining customer research, behavioral data, and well-designed experiments.
  • Ownership in ambiguity, bringing structure to open-ended problems.
  • Experience with credit, lending, personalization, or AI-powered consumer experiences is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

CAN base pay range per year: $181,000 - $241,000. Total compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents. Additional benefits include flexible time off, generous holiday calendars, and an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
